Proof of Address (PoA): What It Is and How to Pass Verification

Proof of Address (PoA) or Proof of Address — is a document that confirms a user's residential address. Proof of Address is a standard requirement for banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, financial institutions, and payment service providers.

Address verification is part of the international KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures and helps confirm that the user actually resides at the specified address.

In this guide, we explain which documents Trustee Plus accepts and why your document may be rejected.

Proof of Address document requirements

Your document must meet the following requirements:

  • include your full name;

  • include your residential address;

  • include the issue date and have been issued no more than 6 months ago;

  • include the name or logo of the issuing organization.
